At Redbrick Day Nurseries, we believe healthy eating supports both a healthy body and a healthy mind. Good nutrition plays a vital role in children’s learning, development and long-term relationship with food.
We follow a farm-to-fork philosophy wherever possible, helping children understand where food comes from and how it is grown or produced. This approach is reflected in everyday experiences such as gardening, cooking and baking, supporting learning about nature, responsibility and healthy choices.
All food and drink is provided as part of our all-inclusive childcare offer, including breakfast, snacks, lunch and tea. We cater for a wide range of dietary requirements, including vegetarian, vegan, allergies and intolerances, ensuring every child’s needs are met safely and thoughtfully.
Meals are freshly prepared each day by our qualified chef using seasonal ingredients, with organic produce used wherever possible. Our menus are carefully planned to be nutritious, varied and appealing, and are regularly reviewed and updated in line with the seasons.
We do not offer separate children’s menus. Instead, we provide balanced, thoughtfully prepared meals that encourage children to explore new tastes and develop positive attitudes towards food. Sample menus are available for parents so please click here.
We also support families through key transitions, including weaning. Guidance and resources are available to help make this stage as smooth and reassuring as possible. Breastfeeding families are warmly welcomed, and we are happy to support expressed milk or formula feeding in line with individual preferences.
