Bottles and solid foods are prepared on the premises to meet each child’s needs and stage of development.

Our preschool room provides a stimulating and engaging environment where children are supported to develop confidence, communication and early learning skills. Outdoor play is an important part of daily life at The Redbrick Day Nursery, Kingswell Road. Children are supported to access outdoor spaces on a daily basis, allowing them to explore, investigate and enjoy physical play in a safe and stimulating environment.

Our outdoor areas provide opportunities for a wide range of experiences that support physical development, imaginative play and sensory exploration. Babies access their garden daily, enjoying fresh air and age-appropriate outdoor experiences supported by familiar adults.

Older children benefit from outdoor environments that encourage active play, social interaction and discovery, supporting learning through play in all weathers and across the seasons.

We place a strong emphasis on healthy nutrition as part of children’s overall wellbeing and development. Our on-site kitchen is led by a dedicated chef who prepares fresh, balanced meals and snacks each day.

Menus are carefully planned to be both nutritious and appealing to young children, and we are able to cater for a range of dietary needs. Mealtimes are relaxed and sociable, supporting positive eating habits and encouraging independence.

The safety and wellbeing of children is always our highest priority. Our nursery has robust security measures in place to ensure a safe environment for children, families and staff.

All staff are trained in paediatric first aid and emergency procedures, and regular safety checks and drills help ensure everyone is well prepared. We work to maintain a calm, secure setting where children feel protected and able to explore with confidence.
