Terms and Conditions
There is a £75 non refundable registration fee.
Sessions:
Sessions are available as follows:
Nursery:
Full Day: 8am to 6pm
Extended Day: 7am to 6pm
AM session: 8am to 1pm
PM session: 1pm to 6pm
School Day: 9am to 3pm
Funded Session. 1pm to 6pm Monday and Friday
Hourly Rate: £12 hour
Out of school club:
Breakfast Club: 7.00am to School Drop Off
Afterschool Club: School Pick up to 6.00pm
Holiday club 7am to 6pm
8am to 6pm
Half day sessions (8am to 1pm or 1pm to 6pm)
- The sessions above are available Monday to Friday.
- The minimum number of sessions is 2. The minimum number of sessions can be taken on two separate half days or 1 full day.
- The Red Brick Day Nursery offers a bespoke childcare service. If your requirements are different to those stated here then please discuss them with the Manager.
- The nursery is open Monday to Friday except for Bank Holidays and the 3 working days in-between Christmas and The New Year therefore fees are payable for 51 weeks..
- Fees are payable throughout the year including Bank Holidays.
- The hourly rate is to allow flexibility to parents so that sessions fit more closely their working day. The nursery does not provide for sessions shorter than six hours using the hourly rate.
- Six weeks’ notice is required by both parties to terminate a child’s place. Notice shall be given in writing. Parents are required to give six weeks’ written notice for a permanent change of session, however we will always endeavour to accommodate parent’s requests. - Fees are still payable for the six weeks’ notice period, even if the child does not attend the nursery.
Fee Payment:
- Fees payable on or before the 1st of the month and must be paid in advance.
- Fees can be paid by bank transfer, direct debit, Tax Free Childcare, Childcare vouchers.
- Details of the Red Brick Day Nursery bank details are provided on the invoices but can be available upon request.
- A sibling discount of 10% is available and is applicable to the eldest siblings’ fees. Please note that the discount may not be available in conjunction with other promotions, extra sessions or discounts.

- A limited number of Government funded sessions are available at the discretion of the nursery. Please contact the Manager for more information and refer to the Admissions policy. The Government Funding is for the provision of Early Years Education only and does not cover the cost of additional services such as food, toiletries,additonal resources outside of the EYFS, trips and extra curricular activities. An additional resources charge will be applied against your funded hours only.
- A £25 administration fee will be charged for all late payments received after the 10th of the month.
- Invoices are issued on a monthly basis. Requests for copy invoices may incur an administration fee.
- Fees are reviewed twice a year and any changes will be implemented on April 1st and September 1st.
- The following example shows how fees are calculated. Fees are calculated over the year to produce a consistent monthly fee. Additional sessions booked over and above the main sessions must be paid for at the time of booking and are not included in the calculation of monthly fees unless they become a permanent change:
Cost of the weekly session x 51 weeks (to take into account the holiday reduction) /12 months = Monthly fee
The following is an example:
£104 X 51 £5,304/12 = £442
- For children attending on a Term Time only basis they will be invoiced for 11 months annulised based upon the booking pattern.
- A fee increase will be applied from the 1st April and 1st September each year.
Sickness/ Absence:
- Children who have, or develop, an infectious illness including sickness and/or diarrhoea must be excluded from nursery for a minimum of 48hours.
- This exclusion is in the best interest of the ill child and the other children and complies with regulations set out by the Environmental Health Department. The nursery must be notified of all absences.
- Children who are prescribed antibiotics will be excluded from the Nursery for 24 hours to ensure that they are up to the rigours of a normal nursery day.
- Sickness or absence from Nursery does not qualify for a reduction in fees.
Clothing and Personal Items:
- The Nursery cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage to personal items or clothing.
- Parents are asked that they label their children’s clothing and shoes etc.
- A nursery uniform is available to purchase.
- Parents should supply sufficient clothing for their child‘s daily needs and a spare set of clothing in case of accidents. Please bring clothes that are practical to playing in sand, water etc. and appropriate for toilet training for example comfortable and loose. When your child is toilet training please bring in plenty of spare pants’ and knickers as well as at least two sets of spare clothes.
- Sunhats should be supplied in the warmer months.
- Suitable footwear for outdoors must also be provided.
- In line with our ethos of free flow play both indoors and outside the nursery provides waterproof outdoor clothing. Parents are asked that they provide plenty of layers of clothing during the winter months.
- Sun cream is supplied by the nursery.
Car Parking:
Car parking is available for dropping off and picking up children outside the nursery. Please do not park in the bays labelled Private Parking. If the car park is full please park your car carefully. Under no circumstances should any car be left parked in an unsuitable manner that could cause danger to children or to the general public. Generally there is plenty of on-street parking should the car park be full.
