The Redbrick Day Nursery Values

Building confident learners through Awe and Wonder

At Redbrick Day Nurseries, our values are at the heart of everything we do. They guide how we care for children, how we work with families and how we support and develop our teams. Across our day nurseries and preschools in Northampton, these values shape our culture and are reflected in the everyday experiences we provide, ensuring every child feels safe, supported and inspired to learn.

High ExpectationsWe believe in children and their ability to thrive. By holding high expectations, we support children to develop confidence, independence and a strong sense of self-belief throughout their early years. We recognise that every child is rich in potential and nurture this through encouragement, meaningful learning experiences and positive relationships.

For our teams, high expectations mean professionalism, reflection and a commitment to continuous improvement. This ensures high-quality childcare and early years education across all Redbrick nursery settings.

Excellent customer service – We are committed to building trusted, respectful relationships with families. We believe that working in partnership with parents is essential to supporting children’s wellbeing, learning and development.

Through open communication, collaboration and mutual respect, we ensure families feel listened to, informed and valued. By working together, we create consistency between home and nursery, helping children feel secure, confident and settled in their childcare environment.

Respect – Respect underpins our approach to care and learning. We treat every child, family and team member with kindness, integrity and fairness.

Our nurseries actively promote inclusivity, diversity and equality, creating welcoming environments where everyone feels safe and valued. We celebrate differences and support children to develop respect for others, themselves and the wider world from an early age.

Opportunities – We create rich opportunities for children to explore, learn and thrive through thoughtfully designed indoor and outdoor learning environments inspired by our ethos of learning through awe and wonder.

Children are encouraged to be curious, creative and confident learners, supported by skilled practitioners who understand how to guide and extend learning in meaningful ways. We also invest in our teams through ongoing training and professional development, ensuring consistently high standards of early years practice across Redbrick.

Let us be your childcare Hero!

By embedding our values into everyday nursery practice, we support children to become confident and curious learners who are creative, open-minded and respectful of others. Children develop independence, resilience and competence, supported by nurturing relationships that help them feel safe, secure and valued throughout their early years.

We see every child as capable and full of potential, and we are committed to helping them flourish.

Our values are brought to life through everyday interactions, routines and relationships within our nurseries. Our team listens carefully to children, valuing their ideas, interests and ways of thinking as part of a child-centred approach to learning.

Children are trusted to make choices and develop independence in ways that are appropriate to their age and stage of development. Practitioners learn alongside children, creating shared learning journeys built on curiosity, trust and respect. Through these relationships, our ethos of learning through awe and wonder is woven naturally into daily nursery life.
